The A417/A419 provides an important route between Gloucester and Swindon that helps connect the Midlands/North to the South of England. The Missing Link causes many problems for road users and those who live or work in the area.
To tackle this Highways England will improve the connection between two dual carriageway sections of the A417 at Brockworth and Cowley delivering a safe and resilient free-flowing road while conserving and enhancing the special character of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Using feedback from the previous consultation, Highways England have made some improvements to their proposals. The changes will benefit local connectivity, accessibility and reduce the impact on communities, the environment, and the local landscape.
To allow you to provide feedback on these changes, they’re holding a consultation. This consultation will take place from 13 October to 12 November 2020 and will give local communities and businesses the opportunity to find out more about the scheme and to have their say.
