On the 7th of September I hosted an event as Chairman of the Westminster Africa Business Group. WABG aims to create a unique opportunity for business leaders and country leaders to build personal relationships, with the ambition of fostering business between the UK and Africa.
The event was a great success, starting with a very informative and useful series of lectures on entrepreneurship in Africa. These lectures included discussions on the cultural aspects of doing business with Africa, the challenges and opportunities facing African women in business and many other issues. Individuals from businesses and NGOs operating in the region attended, together with UK politicians and High Commissioners/Ministers from a number of African countries.
