Delighted to have Sir Stephen O'Brien, KBE as our guest speaker at the Westminster Africa Business Group's Annual Dinner. Sir Stephen was previously MP for Eddisbury and Undersecretary of State for International Development.


Transport Secretary Chris Grayling reaffirmed his support for the implementation of the solution to the Missing Link problem. And along with Cllrs Kevin Cromwell and Vernon Smith we presented him with the case for improvements to the A46 Tewkesbury and Ashchurch.

Meeting with NFU

Meeting with local NFU members in the constituency to discuss a range of issues such as rural broadband provision, rural policing and developing UK skills to deliver on future agricultural productivity.

Citizens Advice

At an event with Citizens Advice where I had the opportunity to see an interactive map highlighting the range of issues people in Tewkesbury raise. Citizens Advice play an important role in providing free confidential and impartial advice to people in my constituency.

Funding for Cleeve School

I welcome the news that Gloucestershire Country Council have granted Cleeve School £139,000 in funding to support building work that will increase capacity at the school. The newly-approved funding adds to the £5.3million investment that has already been agreed.

Sky Ocean Rescue Campaign

Signing up to the Sky Ocean Rescue campaign to #PassOnPlastic. We have already introduced one of the world's toughest bans on microbeads and removed nine billion carrier bags from circulation, but there is more to do to remove plastic from our oceans.


Held a meeting with WASPI (women who have lost out due to accelerated changes to retirement ages) and have pledged to continue to help them.


Following concerns raised by constituents, I have asked the Secretary of State for Health about the ability of ambulance services in Gloucestershire to meet their targets for attending emergency calls.

F-35 simulator

Experiencing the world-class technology of the new F-35 in a Lockheed Martin F-35 simulator in London. The global F-35 programme will support 20,000 UK jobs over the 30 year production period and already the programme has generated over £9 billon for UK industry.
