This morning I held a meeting with the Leader of Tewkesbury Borough Council, Cllr Robert Vines, and the Chief Executive, Mike Dawson, to discuss Gloucestershire’s devolution bid. I also met a council member from Kenya while there to discuss similar issues.
I later visited Ashchurch for Tewkesbury railway station to discuss plans and possibilities for developing the station. This also included looking atincreasing the train services to and from there.
Finally, I held meetings with constituents to discuss a number of issues. I held discussions on issues surrounding the Green belt in this area and also the on-going problems caused by the collapse of Equitable Life. I continue to press for further compensation for the victims.
