I am very proud to represent the beautiful constituency of Tewkesbury and feel privileged to be able to work with local residents to work towards improving our community.
In Tewkesbury we have the benefit of both scenic rural areas and thriving urban areas and in my role as MP for Tewkesbury I have the pleasure of working with many different people.
For one, I regularly meet with our local farming community, and will continue to work with them towards ensuring they receive fair prices for their produce and many other issues. I also meet with our local GP surgeries and many other local businesses, when in the consituency. I am happy to meet with any other members of the community should they have concerns or want to discuss issues, and do make every effort to hold a constituency surgery once a month.
Our area is also home to Cheltenham Racecourse, and as Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Racing & Bloodstock, I have enjoyed visiting here on many occassions. It continues to attract people in their masses, from both the UK and further afield, such is the quality of the experience they provide!
Tewkesbury is also filled with innovative local businesses, coming from a vast range of different sectors, many of which are expanding and creating valuable jobs. MOOG have recently opened a New Industrial Production and Engineering Facility, and GE Aviation are one of our biggest employers in the constituency. These companies also represent the defence, aviation and security, sectors which have a prominent presence in the constituency.
I hope there will be many more successes in Tewkesbury to highlight and I look forward to working with constituents, businesses and community groups in the future to make our local community even better.
