Last night I hosted the Westminster Africa Business Group's Annual Reception in Parliament. The group was formed in 1947 and is non-profit making organisation with the primary objective of bringing together politicians and businesses to the benefit of the UK and Africa.
I was delighted to welcome the Minister for Trade Policy in the Department for International Trade, the Rt Hon Greg Hands MP, as our Guest Speaker. The event was well attended by businesses operating in Africa, and those looking to do so, including 3 businesses based in my constituency. We also had a broad range of representation from the many embassies we work with including Nigeria, Mozambique, Cameroon and Ghana.
