This week I had a number of meetings.
I attended a drop in session, hosted by Heart UK, to hear about their vision to prevent premature deaths caused by high cholesterol and cardiovascular disease. I had my own cholesterol taken and was given advice on the best lifestyle and diet choices for ensuring my cholesterol stays at a healthy level.
I also had a number of engagements this week relating to the aerospace industry, which is an important industry in Tewkesbury, not least in terms of the number of jobs it provides. I met with Gary Elliot from the Aerospace Technology Institute, and also with Airbus and Boeing suppliers.
We also discussed important issues at the APPG on floods, and also at the APPG on Brazil. I will continue to work with both of these All Party Groups. In my role as Chairman of the APPG on Ethiopia & Djibouti, I met with Kathryn and Max Robinson who run a school in Ethiopia. Please see my news post on “Rainbows4Children” to hear more about their projects.
