Today I returned from Conservative Party Conference where I had the opportunity to meet with many charities and organisations to discuss their work and current campaigns.
On Sunday I met with the Blue Cross to talk about animal welfare issues, including issues surrounding the sale of exotic pets. I also attended events on Gibraltar and Cyprus.
On Monday we held more meetings, including Action on Hearing Loss, to find out more about how employers can make adaptations for employees, and also problems surrounding digital exclusion. I met with AXA to discuss how to prepare homes for floods and issues surrounding planning.
I also met with the Irish Ambassador, to discuss the relationship between Northern Ireland and the Republic following the Brexit vote, and with the Ethiopian Ambassador for an update on key priorities for the country.
I also spoke with others such as Guide Dogs UK on their latest campaigns, and with McDonalds on raising awareness of their British supply chain.
