Thinking of all those people who were caught up in the Great Flood of Tewkesbury, which started ten years ago today.
Three people lost their lives, many ended up living in caravans for a year or more, and a great many more suffered damage to their homes and businesses. We also lost water supplies for up to three weeks and some lost electricity. But the spirit of the people of Tewkesbury shone through and we came through it stronger.
I continue to work locally, and with the government, to improve our flood defences for the future.
