Flood alerts continue to remain in place for the River Avon and the River Severn, with levels at an expected peak of 4.7m at the Mythe. Additional flooding is anticipated after some rainfall later today, which could result in surface flooding.
There is no rainfall predicted for the weekend however temperatures are expected to plummet which could result in icy surfaces. If this is the case please do take care when travelling.
Tewkesbury Borough Council have an emergency line available for sourcing sandbags, with Ubico offering support for vulnerable residents and those who need it most. The Borough Council can be contacted on 01684 293 445 outside normal working hours.
Warnings are currently in place for nine areas across Tewkesbury Borough; River Avon at Strensham and Bredon; River Avon at Twyning; River Severn at Abbots Court, Deerhurst; River Severn at Apperley and The Leigh; River Severn at Bushley; River Severn at Chaceley and Haw Bridge; River Severn at Hanley Castle, Rectory Road in Upton upon Severn and Saxons Lode; River Severn at Severn Ham, Tewkesbury; and River Severn at Tewkesbury.
