The government is still hopeful of reaching a deal with the EU about the terms of our leaving and future relationship. However, the EU is saying that a sticking point is the question over the Irish border. I believe this to be a red herring.
I participated in a debate regarding the protection of racehorses in which I discussed the importance of improving the welfare of racehorses in the United Kingdom.
I met with constituents to discuss issues surrounding renewable energy, including how the government can help support and promote the industry. We discussed a wide range of issues including ideas on how to overcome barriers to zero carbon homes.
Last month, I led a trade mission to Uganda and Rwanda with two businesses operating in the UK. We met with British High Commissioner to Rwanda, Jo Lomas, in addition to visiting companies and factories across Kigali and Kampala.
