I raised the worrying statistics on the number of horses and riders which have been killed or injured on roads during the last year with the Transport Secretary.
I held a very useful meeting with Housing Minister Kit Malthouse to discuss changing building regulations to ensure that new buildings are self-sufficient in electricity. His response was encouraging and he is to have further discussions in government about this.
Supporting a #BetterDealForAnimals with World Animal Protection UK. The UK has an excellent record on animal welfare and this will continue as we leave the EU.
Supporting National Apprenticeship Week in Parliament. There are already many excellent companies in the constituency promoting apprenticeships and I want to work with others to create even more opportunities for young people locally.
Had a really good visit to Woodmancote Guides. They are very bright girls, ably led, and asked a series of intelligent questions. I came away with much work to do!
Cheltenham and Gloucester Jobs Fair is running on Wednesday 13thFebruary 2019 at the Town Hall, Cheltenham, 10am to 1pm.
